VIGNALEDANZA - INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF DANCE AND INTEGRATED ARTS - 30TH EDITION

The International Festival Vignaledanza is continuing its tradition of art, culture, education and tourism by presenting renewed energy for the 30th edition to be held during the summer of 2008, confirming its opening towards integrated arts.

The lively cosmopolitan exhibition, appreciated and followed by an ever increasing aware audience, is preparing to “invade” the Monferrine hills, pointing a spotlight on artistic beauty, cultural competitiveness, while searching for an interaction of advanced professionalism and practical training.

The highly qualified dance programme of perfomances, enriched by acting, music and singing, are captivating thanks to the protagonists and proposals, all is complemented by popular work- experience programs attended by young people coming from all over the world as well as a dance competition conceived for promising young dancers.

The uniqueness of Vignaledanza is in its youth, with its deep roots and meaningful future projections, which embraces the sweetness, constant softness and charm of the hills, which builds, admires and sustains the new evolution of art in a constant comparison and exchange of content and communication.

Workshops, work experience, showcases and precious moments unite the young, passionate and successful dancers uniting the international dance world to millions of spectators in the festive climate in the form of a enormous happening.

Our festival is represented by a dancer on a grape leaf, becoming the messenger of the union between Terpsichore and Bacchus , and the Monferrato Land of Festival project which intends to light the bonfire of art and culture and enhance what exists in the Aleramo territory.

The taste of a real “event”, intense and tangible, is the meaning tied to the exhibition which conjugates coherent artistic planning, tenacious trust in the future of dance and rigorous management of resources, with an effect that lasts without interruptions in a widespread of both spatially and chronologically.

The world famous “Land of the Dance” with its intelligent vivaciousness, which has been seen by many people, will be repeated in the 2008 edition. This will be done in order to further open up communication and to reserve an important role for studio appointments under the auspices of critics and personalities of the dancing scene.

The foundation of the Confraternity of the Arts is a stimulus new creation, which is the result of free research and experimentation.

This institution, which has been created from the former Carabinieri barracks, thanks to a contribution by the Piedmont Region, represents a great result that gives continuity to the meeting of the arts and constitutes a live and vital space which operates all year round.

Vignale, from which the Festival gets its name, is a small town in the Monferrato area of the Piedmont Region in North-Western Italy. It is famous for its agricultural products, especially wine.

By intensifying a double characteristic, a pole of attraction within an international scale which creates a concrete effect on the territory, the Festival confirms its dynamic artistic peculiarity in continual development involving , both the reality (of the festival) and the people who participate in the great “work” of accomplishment, in a pluriannual success, making Vignaldanza a visible protagonist of a first-rate artistic project.
